She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Larry Raymond (Heather Raymond) and Lynne Lehmer; her grandsons, Mike and Sam; and also Carl Raymond. She was also cherished by her son and his wife and their dogs.

In her younger years, Helen experienced the terrible Long Beach earthquake of 1933, where the house her mother and her were living in fell off its foundation.
