He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Schmit and Sheila Schmit (Nixon). He is survived by: his wife Kristi Walsh; his children, Stephanie (Brett Gilfillan), Frederick Tyler Schmit of Silverado and Tommy (Mary Schmit); his siblings, Troy Schmit, Tad Schmit and Jill Charboneau; and his nieces and nephews, Augustine, Cosette, Agatha, Damian and Magdalene. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
