She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Eugene Shrum (Gene) and Mary Willian Shrum (Casebeer); her husband Herbert Melvin; her grandson Kristopher Kinyon; her stepmother Florence; her brothers, Kenneth and David; and her son-in-law John Ruhn.
She is survived by: her brother Tom Shrum; and her children, Kathy Kinyon (Kay), Jean Horne (Jim), John Melvin (Karen), Marsha Ruhn and Sara Melvin. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Roseburg Memorial Gardens (1056 NW Hicks St, Roseburg, OR 97470).
