He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Hayes and Bernice Hayes; his siblings, Ralph, John, Doug and Lois; his sister-in-law Vaugh; and his grandson Kory.

He is survived by : his wife Peggy Tabor; and his children, Bernice (Steve Valentine) and Ralph (Maureen). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
