It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sharon Marie LaRue of Grants Pass, Oregon, born in Everett, Washington, who passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Thompson and Alma Thompson (Shannie); and her brother Gary Thompson. She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Ann (Steve Portela) of Fresno, CA and Carrie Lynn (Scott) of Louisville, KY; her grandchildren, Audrey Portela of New York City, Joseph Portela of Fresno, CA, Sydney Feitl, Emily Kennedy-Feitl, Ashlyn Feitl and Faith Kennedy of Louisville, KY.; her husband Bruce LaRue; and her sisters, Linda (Norman Ross) of Spanaway, WA and Laurie (Rick Gurries) of Hopland, CA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Eagle Point National Cemetery (2763 Riley Rd, Eagle Point, OR 97524). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Parkway Christian Center (229 NE Beacon Dr, Grants Pass, OR 97526).
