It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol LaMae Thompson (Gresham, Oregon), born in Beresford, South Dakota, who passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Carol is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Carol's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Edblom and Alice Edblom; her husband Bob; and her son Greg. She is survived by: her daughters, Linda (Larry), Nancy (Dan) and Sara (Scott). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bateman Carroll Funeral Home (520 W Powell Blvd, Gresham, OR 97030). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
