He was predeceased by: his parents, John McKay and Roberta "Cora" McKay; his wife Betty; his siblings, Margaret and Tom; his daughter Betsy; and his grandsons, Scotty and Charlie.
He is survived by: his brother Lee; his sons, Mike (Ellen), Russ (Jackie) and Bill (Xieu); his grandchildren, Stefanie, Michael (Julie), Shannon, Jon (Brittne), Dan, Chris (Elaynea), Duy (Tien), Jason (Ashley), Tammy (Aaron), Darlene, Angela (Mike) and Wil; and his great grandchildren, Mathew, Zachary, Piper, Paisley, Cora, Charlie, Zane, Jaedyn, Perrin, Summer, Hayden, Hunter, Carson, Lane, Kellen, Tori, Leia, Maddox and Frankie.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bateman Carroll Funeral Home (520 W Powell Blvd, Gresham, OR 97030). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (400 SW Walters Dr, Gresham, OR 97080). The military honors was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
