He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lee; and his parent Ida Novotny. He is survived by: his son Cary Novotny; his granddaughters, Tess Novotny, Makenna Carroll and Neve Novotny; his brothers, Roger Novotny (Nila) and Gene Novotny; his niece Jill Hart (Tom); and his nephew Steven Novotny (Brittany).
