He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Porterfield and Hazel Porterfield (Metts); and his siblings, John, Francis Wacasey and Troy.

He is survived by: his wife Lorna D. Rojas; and his sons, Mark (Kathy) of Boring, Robert (Jill) of Prineville and Loren (Wendy) of Gresham. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren with #9 due in the fall, a niece and nephew.
