He was predeceased by: his parents, Constance Mae Hancock and Everett Oral Hancock. He is survived by: his daughters, Heidi Hancock (Steve Shannon) and Janna Bednorz (Mark); his grandchild Finn Bednorz; his former wife Caryl Rae Hancock; his sister Cindy Knox (Roger); his cousins, Ronald Walker and Joseph Hancock; his nieces, Heather Mathers and Cara Knox Gutzmer; his nephew Andrew Knox; his great-nieces, Teaghan Knox, Jasmine Mathers, Ainslie Knox, Skye Knox and Ashlynn Knox Gutzmer; and his great-nephew Duncan Knox Gutzmer.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions in tribute to Dr. Everett Brady Hancock's legacy be made to the O'Leary/Hancock Professorship in Periodontics at Indiana University School of Dentistry.
