It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Reta Alford of Hermiston, Oregon, who passed away on December 24, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Reta has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bill Cox and Marcella Cox (Dupuis); her sons, Stacey Hammer of Pendleton and Joseph Hammer (Charla) of Hermiston; her brothers, Rick Cox (Susan) of Keizer, OR, Billy Cox (Collette) of Wamic, OR and Ben Cox (Delta) of Tygh Valley; and her husband Kenneth L Alford. She was also cherished by five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Family suggest memorial contributions in Reta's memory be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
