She is survived by: her husband John Wesley Gates (Wes); her children, Annette Gates, Rebecca Ferguson (Guy Ferguson) and Spencer Gates (Pam Gates) of Hillsboro; her grandchildren, Duncan Gates, Allison Gates, Emma Ferguson and Sophie Ferguson; her great grandchild Wesley Gates; her sisters, Grace Scott and Jane Melhuish (Pete Melhuish); her pets, Maxi, Monkey and Mini; Judy Goldmann. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
