He was predeceased by: his mother Ingrid Elizabeth Settje (Larson); his son John M. Curry of Portland, OR; his father Victor Settje; and his brother John M. Curry. He is survived by: his siblings, Victor Settje Jr. (Annie) of Estonia, Connie Fisher (Michael R. Samples) of Reno, NV, Daniel F. Settje of Big Lake, AK, Josephine Davenport (Larry Davenport), Katherine Settje-Kahler (Richard Kahler) of Odell, OR, Donna A. D. Settje, ELizabeth Settje-Vaivoda (Yani Vaivoda) of Hood River, OR, James E. Settje (Trish Settje), Joseph B. Settje (Bobbi Wilson-Settje) of Redmond, OR and Hannah Settje (Lee Kober) of Hood River, OR.; his son Bradley Berens of Anchorage, AK; and his pet Lucy. He is also survived by sisters, 25 nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, Aunts and Uncles, one bonus Brother.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Concordia Lutheran Church (1107 Pine St, Hood River, OR 97031). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the Toll Bridge Park.
