He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane Wilson Heckman and May Virginia Heckman (Walker); his wife Melva Jane Brown; and his son Jeffrey Allen Heckman. He is survived by: his children, Nelson Lee Heckman of Los Gatos, California, Cynthia Ann Falkenhagen (Joe) of Vancouver and Kimberly Anna Crumly (Thomas) of LaPine, Oregon. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
