He is survived by: his wife Donna; his son Josh Valek (Annie) of Lewiston, ID; his stepdaughter Brande Bracken of Salem, OR; his brother John Valek of Mohawk, IL; his nieces, Lara Severson (Jon) of Bemidji, MN and Emily Valek; his nephew J. P. Valek (Carol); his sister-in-law Diane Valek-Laurghery (Craig) of Ely, MN; his grandchildren, Makayla, Mason, Maddox, Josiah, Jonah, Sierra, Shaleina and Tessa; his great-niece Tasha; his great-nephews, Alex and Ian; and his siblings-in-law, Brian Spears (Rhea) of Sweet, Melvin Spears of La Grande, OR and Linda Girrard of La Grande, OR.. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
