Young left this world on November 2, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parent Bok Soon Song; her siblings-in-law, Donald Shaw and Diana Shaw; her son-in-law Rick Whalen; and her parents-in-law, Fred and Mary Shaw.
She is survived by: her husband Franklin Shaw; her children, Tami Whalen of La Grande, OR and Randy Shaw of Payette, ID; her sibling Nam Soo Chae (Yang Kil) of South Korea; and her grandchildren, Cody Whalen (Shiann), Kelsea Whalen, Bonoak Shaw (Sicily Chiara), Dre Peterson, Ava Shaw, Cooper Shaw and Elsea Shaw. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Summerville Cemetery Chapel (67463 Summerville Rd, Summerville, OR 97876).
