He was predeceased by: his parents, Sedgwick Lee Hurd and Leona Eleanor Hurd (Tuttle); and his siblings, Sonja, John and Wilbur.

He is survived by: his wife Bonny Graham; his daughters, Lisa Marie Hurd and Breanne Hurd; his grandson Joshua James; Shannon and Michelle.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Providence Hospice Foundation.
