He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Sapunar and Leona Sapunar. He is survived by: his wife Myrna Sapunar; his children, Kimberley Sapunar and Sean Sapunar (Stacy); his grandchildren, Leto Sapunar, Zaira Ordoubadi, Madisyn Sapunar and Mason Sapunar; his brother Jon Sapunar (Theresa); his niece Sierra Sapunar; and his great-niece Luna.
