She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, James Craven and Marian Craven; her grandson Mark; her husband Richard Sanvitale; her sons, Dean J. and Mark A. Sanvitale; her daughter-in-law Kimberly; and her grandchildren, Mia, Ethan and Liam.

Joan made a positive impact on so many lives through her lifelong donations to the American Red Cross and her teaching career.
