William Rossier Alder Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Rossier Alder of Newport, Oregon, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 24, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though William may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those William touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Alder and Erma Alder (Campbell). He is survived by: his wife Rita Springer; his stepchildren, Kelly Stewart, Lynne Kennell, Tim Springer, Natalie Swanson and Noel Rodgers; and his sisters, Karen Scriven and Mary Jo Garrison. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
