He is survived by: his parents, Michael Kerns and Colleen Pierson; and his brother Simon Kerns.
The military honors was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Willamette National Cemetery (11800 SE Mt Scott Blvd, Portland, OR 97086).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in his memory be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV.org) or the Elks Veterans Services (elks.org).
