She was predeceased by : her husband Harvey Flannery; her children, Glenda Francis, David and Daniel Flannery; her grandchildren, Sean, Heather, Trevor McDonald, Jessica Mann, Derek, Lee and Jake Flannery; and her great grandchildren, Ian, Erin McDonald, Maya LaGarde, Julia and Andres Garcia.

Her tenacity only grew through the years, particularly evident during her contribution to the war effort as a "Rosie the Riveter" at the CA Shipyards during World War II.
