He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Stearns and Alice Stearns; his wife Sandra; his children, Terry and Vicki Mishiro (Kelly); and his siblings, Robert Stearns (Linda), Sharon Reeder (Perry) and Bonnie Stellflug (Frank). He was also cherished by five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
