He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Dewey "Mac" Magill and G. Catherine Magill (Carlsted); his brother Donald Magill; and his wives, Lynne Sherley and Joanne Stout Magill.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Magill, Alison Magill and Robin Helm; and his girlfriend Diane Tennyson. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Laurelhurst Club (3721 SE Ankeny St, Portland, OR 97214).
Donations may be made to the Oregon Symphony in his name.
