It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John R. Eiting of Portland, Oregon, born in Minster, Ohio, who passed away on August 27, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Eiting; his grandson Carl Goebel; his parents, Carl Eiting and Genevieve Eiting; his sisters, Janice Brinkman (Frank Brinkman) and Jude Schmieder (Luke Schmieder); and his parents-in-law, Esther Eiting, Dorothy Redmond, Florence Schwartz (Robert Schwartz), Helen Redmond and Pat Schwartz (Herb Schwartz).
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Eiting (Ronald Schutz), John Eiting (Marie-Andrée Eiting), Patricia Eiting (Rudy Chapa), Caroline VanRoekel (Steven VanRoekel) and Katherine Eiting; his grandchildren, Luke Goebel (Ottessa Moshfegh), Marie Saldivar (Kurtis Saldivar), Dr. Joaquin Chapa (Arianna Lambie), Annaliese Chapa (Eiji Jimbo), Alma Chapa (Ed Walters), Alberto Chapa (Romy Messak), Juan Chapa (Sheilly Chapa-Valenzuela), John Frederick Eiting (Kelsi Crow), Madeleine Eiting, Katherine VanRoekel, Ember VanRoekel and Sylvia VanRoekel; and his brother Jim Eiting. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
