We are sad to announce that on February 15, 2026, at the age of 36, Michael P. Akoto of Portland, Oregon passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Zacharias; his grandfather Obo Addy; his cousin Chata Addy; and his aunt Kordai Addy. He is survived by: his mother Regina Naa Akuyea Addy; his son Nicholas Obo Addy; his father Kwesi; his grandmother Susan Addy of Portland, Oregon; his sisters, Grace Amoo, Hagar Addy, Susan Banson and Esther Banson of Ghana; his aunts and uncles, Brenda Addy, Debbe Hamada Andrews, Ob Addy, Bilal Addy, Nii Armah and Alex Addy; and his brother-in-law Kingsley Offei. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to Michael's GoFundMe or donations made at the celebration of life to help honor his legacy.
