It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Murray J. Smith (Portland, Oregon), who passed away on April 18, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Smith and Phyllis Smith; his former wife Darlene; and his siblings, Dan and Gail.
He is survived by: his wife Carole; his brother Philip; his children, Dawn Yoell (Randy), Dan Smith (late Marta), Bethany Seefeldt (Charlie) and Melanie Smith (Craig Bowley); his grandchildren, Deanna, Jessica, Adam, Kelly, Britt, Nick, Delia and Josiah; his great grandchildren, Kylie, Jayden and Isla; and his stepdaughters, Laura and Beth.
Although Murray formally retired from full-time employment with the church in 1995, he continued to serve until the pandemic.
