He was predeceased by: his wife Andrea; his sister Mary; and his parents, Samuel Nebel and Eleanor Nebel. He is survived by: his sons, Kirk (Samantha) and Jay (Carrie); his siblings, Steve Nebel, Elizabeth Gregerson, Sally Troxell and Veta Nebel; and his grandchildren, Max, Juno, Elizabeth and Mackenzie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Omega Funeral & Cremation (223 SE 122nd Ave, Portland, OR 97233).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sam's honor to the Mazamas or Boys & Girls Aid.
