He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ralph Franklin and Ethel Irene Taylor; his wife Kristi Lynn; his children, Matthew (Adriana), Joseph (Carol), Benjamin (Grecia), Hollie (Ryan) and Stacie; and his mother-in-law Kristi Lynn Shelton. He was also cherished by his nine grandchildren.
