In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Fred had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Fred may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Tarwater and Lydia Martin; his sister Sylvia Higginbotham; and his former wife Patricia Parrish. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Preston; his son John Tarwater; and his stepchildren, Audrea Hall (Larry), Amber Wedin (Anthony), Teri Clark (David) and Bill Parrish. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Prineville Elks Lodge (151 N Main St, Prineville, OR 97754).
