He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Oeltjen and Doris Oeltjen (Maw); his daughter Nicole Oeltjen; and his parents-in-law, Roy and Lorraine Groteluschen.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Oeltjen; his daughter Michelle Cermak; his son-in-law Jim Cermak; and his grandchildren, Savanna and Nicolas Johnson.
