It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Val Hurt of Prineville, Oregon, born in Eminence, Missouri, who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Hurt and Iva Fry; his wife Crystal Hurt; and his brother Bob Fry. He is survived by: his son James "Jay" Hurt; his grandchildren, Madison Wright, Weston Hurt, Matthew Davisson, Quintin Hurt, Kara Carson and Kayla Hurt; and his great grandchildren, Bryson Hurt, Eli Davisson, Emmett Davisson, Elizabeth Davisson, Elliot Kinney and Theodore Argetsinger.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Prineville Funeral Home (199 NE 10th St, Prineville, OR 97754).
