She was predeceased by: her parents, Maynard Paugh and Mayna Paugh; and her siblings, Ralph, Donald, Darrell, Cliff Paugh and Joyce Simmons (Paugh).
She is survived by: her former husband Walt Carter; her sons, Bob Carter (Kate) of Port Angeles, WA and Bill Carter (Patricia) of Kenai, AK.; and her siblings, Shirley Montague (Paugh) of St. Joseph, MO and Bert Paugh of Springfield, OR. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She served as the chapter chairman of the International Women Pilot's Organization known as "The Ninety Nines", flew numerous flights for charity and was named the Oregon Woman Pilot of the Year in 1974 and 1975.
