With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger Irving Helliwell of Roseburg, Oregon, who passed away on October 27, 2023 at the age of 76. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Roger Irving Helliwell to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Helliwell and Lois Helliwell (Irving); and his brother Robert "Robin" Helliwell. He is survived by : his children, Chris, Sarah, Molly and Ben. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.

After a long battle with Alzheimer's, he is now a citizen of heaven.

“Roger and I served on vestry together, he was Senior Warden and I was Junior Warden. He very thoughtfully met with me before the vestry meetings so that I would be prepared when we actually came to the table. In this hurry, scurry world I so appreciated his calm and measured approach to his task. Our meetings were a time when I could simply sit and listen and appreciate the commitment he brought to his role. He was a lovely person. A gentleman. So glad I knew him. Sue Phelps”
