We announce the death of Janice Bernice Southworth (Salem, Oregon), who passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 95. Janice will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Janice will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Janice will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Janice’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Roberts and Francis Roberts (McKimmy); her husband Leo Southworth; and her granddaughter Rochelle Blackburn. She is survived by: her sons, Gary Southworth (Iro) of Amity and Dale Southworth of Surprise; and her granddaughters, Veronica Holbrook (Jason), Nicole Ruyle (Steve) and Amanda Lamme (Anthony). She is also survived by six great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (570 Madison St NE, Salem, OR 97301).
