He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Miller and Minnie Miller; his wife Betty Lou Russell; his son John Jr.; and his brothers, Mike and Stan.
He is survived by: his son Jim; his daughters-in-law, Mary Miller of Salem, OR, Karen Brown of North Pole, AK and Teresa Nelson of Wasilla, AK; his stepchildren, Angela Towery of Selah, WA and Tony LeBeau of Fairbanks, AK; and his siblings, LeRoy of Cordell, OK, Dennis of Canton, GA, Mary Garr of Renton, WA, Marie Layton and Patsy Schmitt of Salem, OR.. He is also survived by 4 children together, Betty's daughter and son from a previous marriage and their two sons, 14 grandchildren, 20 plus great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
