He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Thune and Larry Thune; and his brother Gary. He is survived by: his son John Mark of Ft. Benton, MT; his wife Victoria of Albany, OR; his daughter Stefanie (Andrew Barnes) of Lake Oswego, OR; his grandchildren, Sarina Aamold of Lake Oswego, OR and Carley Rehbein (Walt); his great grandchild Olivia of Springdale, MT; his sister Lois Rennerfeldt (Earl) of Williston, ND; his siblings-in-law, Betty Thune of Fargo, ND, Jerry Stong of Keizer, OR and Sharon Stong of Keizer, OR; and his close friend Dick Running. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
