He was predeceased by: his parents, James Trieber Mathis and Ruby Daniels Mathis Dixon; his siblings, Trieberetta Gayle Moore and Mickey Joe Dixon; and his true love Cheryl Welch.
He is survived by: his brothers, Anthony Wayne Mathis (Tony) of Salem, OR and Ricky Don Dixon of Harrison, AR; his children, Tami Petit of Lacey, WA, Robin (Tom Goins), Darren Saunders (Marnee) and Angel Saunders Deal; and his grandchildren, Jessica Boyd, Logan Richmond, Chester Richmond, Alyssa Sanders, Lakin Davis Young, Rachael Boyd and Alex Goins. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
