He was predeceased by: his parents, William Arthur Bales and Daisy Mae Gallaher Bales; and his wife Dolores Jean Kolb. He is survived by: his sons, Douglas of Salem, Steven of Keizer and David of Clinton; his grandsons, Alex, Travis and Samuel; and his sisters, Norma Bales and Evelyn Landsburg of Tigard, OR. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
