He was predeceased by : his sister Alicia. He is survived by : his parents, Alberto Castro and Rosalia Leyva; his wife Amanda Chase; his children, Marielena, Alejandro Jr., Luis and Yasmin; and his daughter-in-law Britney. He is also survived by his parents, his two brothers, two sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

Alex got Covid in December 2020, and after his long fight in the hospital, he finally came home and continued to fight for almost 2 years until he lost his battle from pulmonary hypertension.
