She was predeceased by : her parents, Arthur McNeely and Anna McNeely; and her sister Judy Braegger. She is survived by : her husband John W. Fortney of Scappoose; her sons, John M. Fortney (Trish) of St. Helens and Paul B. Fortney (Kim) of Scappoose; her grandsons, Colton C. C. Fortney of Beaverton and Owen J. P. Fortney of Salem; and her brother Doug McNeely of Ogden, Utah..
