Michael Harvey Newcomer Sr. Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Harvey Newcomer Sr. of Scappoose, Oregon, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his spouse Cherlyn Newcomer; his children, Michael H. Newcomer Jr. (Kimmy) of Scappoose, OR and Melissa Howard (Lance) of Columbia City, OR.; his grandsons, Austin Tatman (Casey), Dylan Newcomer, Joseph Howard and Wyatt Howard; his great grandchild Octavian Tatman; his siblings, Patsy Jones, Darlene Bodine of Longview, WA and Donald Newcomer of Vancouver, WA; and his siblings-in-law, Walt Floeter (Suzie) of Sunriver, OR, Bill Young of Scappoose, OR and Susan Remsen of Scappoose, OR. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bayview Cemetery. A reception was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Springlake Community Center (51590 Westlake Dr, Scappoose, OR 97056).
