He was predeceased by: his wife Lory; his parents, Harvey Dethlefs and Olive Dethlefs; his sister Sharon Koberstein (Cecil Koberstein); and his son Dwayne Dethlefs.
He is survived by: his brother Douglas Dethlefs (Gloria Dethlefs); his children, Dean Dethlefs (Richell (Foster) Dethlefs), Denise Dethlefs (Ruben Trevino) and Dan Dethlefs; and his grandchildren, Jessie, Dustin, Dillon, Dawson and Dallas Dethlefs.
