As Bruce departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Bruce may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Bruce leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his wife Lori Compton (Beard); his son Matthew A. Compton (Bethany); and his father Earl E. Compton. He is survived by: his mother Gladys Compton; his children, Derek Gerwig (Melissa), Dustin Gerwig, Kyle Compton, Brittany Beyer (Glenn) and Kailey Compton (Brandon Martinez); and his siblings, Marilyn Sweden, Nancy Fenstermacher (Jerry), Ron Compton (Juanita) and Janell Schomus (Joe). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
