He is survived by: his wife Lois Neal; his sister Nancy Gantz; his sons, John Gibson (Candy), Paul Gibson (Cindy) and Tom Gibson; and his stepchildren, Leonard Neal (late Nancy), Rod Neal (Carol), Ronda Stutzman (Dennis) and Linda Eicher (Jim).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Samaritan's Purse in John's memory.
