He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Derr and Anna Derr (Vonburg); his son Larry Derr; and his siblings, Billy Derr, Marion Cozadd, Ruth Ann Ottenbacher, Donna Marie Philpot and Dorthea Mollenkoph.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his stepdaughters, Diane Lindstrom (Steve) and Karen Wong (David); his children, Joseph Derr (Kathy) and Kristy Newman (Jerry); his siblings, JoAnna Heide, Darlene Huddleston and Jerry Derr; his grandchildren, Jimmy Rock and Kelly Byrd; and his great grandchild Aliyas Byrd.
