He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Heater and Lucille Heater (Rolow); his brothers, John and Jerry; his son-in-law Robby Merrell; and his foster son David Gray.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Eggiman; and his children, Joan Merrell, Tim Heater (Michelle) and Amy Patrick (Mike). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
