It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert James Gorthy in Springfield, Oregon, born in Roseburg, Oregon, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Hugh and Olena Faye Gorthy; and his sisters, Evelyn Lawson and Vivian Sproed. He is survived by : his wife Veva Gorthy; his children, David Gorthy (Melody), Michael Gorthy (Jeanette) and Jeanine Elbert (Alvin); his grandchildren, Allen, Geoffrey, Megan and Troy; and his great grandchildren, David and Adrianna.
