He was predeceased by : his brother George; and his sister-in-law Norma Long. He is survived by : his wife Janice Ballard Long; his children, Johnny, Jeffrey, Joseph Ballard and Jackie Ballard; his grandchildren, Jakira Ballard [Gabe] Conner, Jeffrey Ballard Jr. and Joshua Ballard; his nephews, Kevin [Sheri] Long and Jerry [Jill] Long; and his niece Linda Long [Jim] Boessenecker.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Youth Benefit Golf Tournament (YBGT) at PO Box 107, Mill City OR in honor of Mike or a charity of your choice.

“In loving memory of Michael Long, Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. I will miss Mike's visits to the school district office. He was incredibly dedicated to the youth in our area in many ways, one of which was the Youth Benefit Golf Tournament. He always had a smile on his face and I, along with the community will miss him dearly. Our prayers to the Long family.”
