Michael Eric Nickell Obituary

Michael Eric Nickell, 37, of Sweet Home, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025. He was born in Albany to Eric LeRoy and Sonya Elaine (Lovely) Nickell.

Michael lived most of his life in Sweet Home. He lived in Molalla and Lebanon for short times, but returned and settled in Sweet Home. He worked at Thriftway in Molalla and then Lebanon Walmart. He also built sluice boxes and sold them for gold mining.

Michael loved to tinker with anything he could fix or build. He liked to help others. He worked on cars and computers. He was good at the electronic side of cars. Michael was creative and talented in many areas.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Abigail Davis of Brownsville; his parents: Eric Nickell of Eugene and Sonya Badgley (Stan) of Adair Village; siblings: Nicole Cole (Jacob) of Brownsville, Jeffrey Brennan Jr. of Corvallis and Amanda Boles (Chris) of Fresno, California.

Graveside service will be 3 pm Friday May 30th at Gilliland Cemetery. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
